Chiropractic Techniques

Thompson Technique

The Thompson Drop Technique uses a drop table to enhance the motion of an area to be adjusted. The chiropractor applies a quick thrust at the same time the section drops. It allows the Doctor to safely, specifically, and comfortably adjust the joints of the body. The dropping of the table allows for a lighter adjustment without the twisting positions that can accompany other.

Gonstead Technique

The focus of the Gonstead adjustment is to be as specific, precise and accurate as possible, addressing only the problem areas (areas of subluxation). Great care is taken to ensure a bio-mechanically correct position and precise thrust to provide the most accurate and painless adjustment possible. It is the goal of your Gonstead doctor to restore and maintain optimal health by locating and correcting any interference to the nervous system caused by vertebral subluxation.

Diversified Technique

Diversified technique, also commonly referred to as Diversified Chiropractic Technique, or DCT, involves application of “a short (low-amplitude), quick (high-velocity) thrust over restricted joints (one at a time) with the goal of restoring normal range of motion in the joint.”

Flexion-Distraction

Flexion-Distraction, (F/D) is a gentle, chiropractic treatment procedure utilized for back pain. Flexion-Distraction is a safe alternative to back surgery for those 95% of patients whose conditions do not demand surgical intervention. The doctor is in control of the treatment movements at all times.

Flexion-Distraction creates a "push, pull, pumping" effect on the space between the discs in your spine reducing pressure, soothing and realigning the joints and nourishing spinal discs.
